Release notes CampTrac Cloud 2.5
The PartnerSec APP

The PartnerSec APP
An app for all doors. With the app, a user (someone who needs to open doors at one or several locations) can access doors and barriers with a simple click of a button. The user can also use a QR code that functions as an access card.
The app is a so-called “multi-site” app, which means it allows users to access multiple locations (individual CampTrac customers) within the same app. This way, the user can have one app for all the locations where CampTrac is used.
This means that, for example, if the user’s workplace uses CampTrac as an access system, the app will display an account containing all virtual keys from the workplace. If the user’s gym also uses CampTrac, there will be another account with keys for the gym in the app. If the user then books a spot at a campground, this account will also be displayed in the app.
The app can have an unlimited number of accounts and keys from different locations using CampTrac, and each account follows the issuer’s unique rules and validity period (workplace, campground, gym, ski lodge, nursing homes, etc.).
The app opens all doors or barriers using CampTrac Online card readers.
The app is free to download for all end-users.
SMS Keys

SMS-key™ (for those who do not want to download an app)
SMS Key™ is virtual keys (one or more) that you can send to a user’s smartphone via SMS. SMS Key™ appears as links in the user’s phone that they click to open a door.
The purpose of SMS Key™ is to provide a user access to one or more doors for a certain period without needing to issue smart cards or physical keys.
And of course, you can send them to anyone/anywhere as long as they have a smartphone (any smartphone). No app required! 😊
CampTrac administrator can easily issue an SMS Key™ to a user at any time. This feature saves time, resources, and reduces the stress of being at a specific location at a specific time to issue a key card or hand out keys.
SMS Key™ opens all doors or barriers using CampTrac Online card readers.
QR Keys

QR-key™ (for those who want to send a QR code that can be used on a smartphone or printed on paper)
QR Key™ is a special QR code that functions as a key to open doors or barriers. The QR Key™ can be sent to a user’s smartphone in an SMS or email.
The QR Key™ is very convenient when you want to send a temporary key to a person.
The QR Key™ is highly practical to send to visitors, guests, couriers, and truck drivers.
QR Key™ requires CampTrac QR Key™ readers. CampTrac QR Key™ readers can read both QR Keys™ and Mifare cards.
PIN codes for mobile phones

PIN codes (for those who like codes)
Now it’s super easy to send a unique PIN code to your users, guests, or visitors that they can use to open doors and security gates. In CampTrac, you can easily issue a PIN code and send it via SMS or email.
The CampTrac administrator determines how long the PIN code will be valid.
In the CampTrac Real-Time monitor, you can see when the user uses the PIN code.
PIN codes work on all doors and security barriers that use CampTrac Online card readers with keypads.
Updated menu structure

Updated menu structure
As CampTrac system has gained more features, the menu structure has become harder to navigate, and we felt it was time for simplification. So, we ensured that the most commonly used functions were displayed directly and that all administrative functions were grouped into submenus.
Choose workstation at login

Workstation selection
When you log in to CampTrac, you must assign a workstation (workstation number) to your logged-in session. The purpose of the workstation number is that CTOWC (the small Windows software that communicates with the card programmer) needs to communicate with your browser to “capture” the commands you want to execute, such as programming an access card or adding money to a card.
This new feature will prompt you upon login to select which workstation you want to use if you haven’t already been assigned one.
New reports

New reports
We have added 6 new reports that will significantly improve the possibilities of extracting data from the system the way you want it. All reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel so that you can work on them further there.
Real-time alarm monitoring

Alarm monitoring
We have added a real-time alarm monitor that shows you all alarms from the door environments in real-time.
SMS and Email for alarms

SMS and Email for alarms
We know that some of our customers don’t check the alarm monitor often (even though it’s really good), so we added text messages (SMS) and emails for all types of alarms. When an alarm occurs, you’ll receive an SMS (or email) so you don’t have to keep an eye out for alarms but rather be informed if something suspicious happens. You can, of course, customize the messages sent via SMS and email when an alarm occurs.
Advanced schedule management for card and code

Advanced schedule management for card and code
The advanced schedules allow the CampTrac administrator to create schedules for when the card reader only accepts cards or when it will require cardholders to present their cards and then enter their PIN code to open the door. The scheduling feature includes management of daily schedules (hours/minutes), weekly schedules (Monday-Sunday), holiday schedules, and annual schedules.
Advantage: This is an advanced feature that enables the CampTrac administrator to enhance security in buildings where card access is okay during daytime and during nighttime/weekends/holidays, all cardholders will need to enter their PIN code after presenting their card.
This also ensures that a lost card cannot be used outside office hours without using a PIN code. This feature follows the concept of “something you have (card) and something you know (PIN code)”.
Advanced schedule management for door opening and closing

Advanced schedule management for door opening and closing:
The advanced schedules allow the CampTrac administrator to create schedules for when the door should be open (electric lock is engaged) and when the door should be locked. It’s a very convenient feature for setting up doors at certain times of the day and days of the week. Schedules automatically account for holidays so that, for example, the door isn’t open on Christmas Eve.
The scheduling feature includes management of daily schedules (hours/minutes), weekly schedules (Monday-Sunday), holiday schedules, public holidays, and annual schedules.
Entry with ALPR Camera

Automatic License Plate Recognition camera opens the barrier
CampTrac has a fully integrated LPR camera designed for outdoor and indoor use.
A license plate recognition camera, also known as an ALPR camera (Automatic License Plate Recognition) or LPR camera (License Plate Recognition), is an advanced technology used in access control systems to streamline and secure vehicle access. This intelligent camera is equipped with advanced image recognition algorithms that enable it to read and identify license plates on vehicles in real-time.
The function of an ALPR camera is to quickly and accurately capture images of license plates on passing vehicles. When a car or truck approaches a barrier or garage door, the camera scans the vehicle’s license plate and then compares the information with the database linked to the access control system.
The administrator only needs to enter the vehicle’s license plate number into CampTrac, and the barrier will open when the vehicle approaches the camera.
Further updates in 2.5
- Several performance improvements have been made.
- Several security updates have been implemented.
- Multiple bug fixes have been carried out.
- Encryption enhancements.
- CTOWC (CampTrac Windows Client). CTOCW is now updated to version 2.6 and includes the following improvements:
- Ignore all other card readers (smart card readers) than CTC200. Previously, the CTOWC client would connect to all smart card readers on the computer where it was installed (including Windows Hello). This created several unnecessary error messages. It could also cause issues with issuing cards.
- The CTOWC icon is always visible in the Tools menu. The small “C” icon visible in the Windows toolbar was only displayed when the CTOWC window was minimized. Now it is always visible when the client is running.
- CTOWC runs without Logging by default. If logging is required, it is now possible to start it at any time. Logging is primarily used for support purposes.
- Online card reader Status Update. You can now manually test the status of the online card reader if you suspect that the card reader’s status is incorrect.
- Hide the “Always valid” checkbox for users. The system administrator can now hide the “Always valid” checkbox for facility administrators. The purpose of this feature is to prevent a user from inadvertently issuing a card that is valid at all times.
- Standard APP card. As part of the PartnerSec APP implementation, the facility administrator can now issue a card that will be the “standard APP card” for a facility in the APP.
- Updated RESTFul API. In the updated API, developers can now create keys (RFID cards, PIN codes, SMS keys, QR keys) with a single command.
- Updated user groups. Include buildings, schedules, and relay schedules in user groups.
- Several security updates. We have now implemented user protection for concurrent users, protection against attempting an incorrect password too many times, session timeout (the user will be locked out after a certain amount of inactivity), and many other new security features.
The CampTrac access control system version 2.4

- Authorization schedule for cardholders (authorization schedule). An authorization schedule controls the hours during the day when a cardholder (person with RFID card, PIN code, or virtual key) will be able to open the door with their card. A typical use for an access schedule is to prevent a certain category of cardholders from accessing certain doors/gates during nighttime and holidays.
- In a building, there are usually card readers managing security doors such as fire doors and other safety doors. In CampTrac, an administrator can assign a card reader to a “Building”, and if the fire alarm goes off in that building, the system will automatically open all doors connected to that “Building”. The concept of buildings is a way to gather critical card readers and perform certain actions on the card readers in that “building”.
- The brand-new charging kiosk allows cardholders to load money onto their CampTrac cards using SWISH or VISA/Mastercard. The kiosk also allows the user to check how much money they have on their CampTrac card.
- Updated RESTFul API. In the updated API, developers can now create keys (RFID cards, PIN codes, SMS keys, QR keys) with a single command.
